Mega Berry Homemade Jam
n
The gelling effect of the chia seeds in Holy Crap Natural Superseed Blend cereal makes it a perfect alternative to using sugar and pectin in jam. And no cooking required! The neutral flavour of the Natural Superseed Blend lets the fruit shine.
n
We don’t usually use sweetener in this jam, as we’ve noticed the less refined sugars we eat, the sweeter fruit tastes, but you might want to add a little of your preferred sweetener if your fruit is especially tart.
n
During the summer months, Natural Superseed Blend Jam is a great way to enjoy the abundance of local raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries. In winter, this recipe works just as well with thawed, frozen fruit. A squeeze of lime or lemon brightens the flavour.
n
Feel free to experiment a little by adding a teaspoon of finely minced jalapeño pepper, basil, or mint when the ingredients and mood present themselves. Spread Natural Superseed Blend Jam lavishly on toast or pancakes.
